Electricity Options
(1) Regulated Price Plan (RPP): Most customers are RPP customers. RPP pricing for the period May 1, 2010 to October 31, 2010 is:
- Tier 1 = 6.5 cents per kWh
- Tier 2 = 7.5 cents per kWh
Residential customers are eligible for Tier 1 pricing for the first 600 kWh per month from May to October, and 1000 kWh per month from November to April; all other electricity is priced at Tier 2. Our average customer consumes 748 kWh per month. Non-residential customers who are eligible for the RPP plan receive 750 kWh per month at Tier 1 prices throughout the year.
(2) Retailer: Any customer can agree to buy their electricity from a retailer and they will pay the price negotiated with their retailer.
(3) Wholesale: Customers who do not fall in either category above will receive either the Weighted Average Price (WAP) or Hourly Weighed Average Price (HWAP).
